Folders that organize themselves.
The smart drive builds virtual folders from your data. A rule like Supplier › Quarter creates one folder per value, and every document lands where its data puts it.
Folders built from your data
- 1
Choose a column
Pick the table and the column a rule reads: supplier, customer, quarter, employee, property.
- 2
Nest the rules
Stack rules into a path such as /Invoices/Received/Q3 2026/Nordwind AG.
- 3
Let it run
New documents are renamed and placed automatically; edit a cell and the file moves.
What you get
Define folder rules from any column — supplier, quarter, property — and every document files itself. Change a value and the file moves with it.
Always current
Folders appear with a value and disappear when nothing is left in them — or generate one for every value.
Rename once
Renaming a virtual folder renames the value in every row that uses it.
Consistent names
Files are renamed from a pattern of their own fields, like 2026-09-12 · Nordwind AG · INV-2041.
In several places at once
A contract can sit in its supplier's folder and in the contracts folder without being copied.
Files are renamed and placed in the right folders automatically — by supplier, quarter, property or employee — and move when their data changes. Every table is yours to see as a grid, a form beside its documents, a tree or a Kanban board.

Frequently asked questions
Are virtual folders real folders?
They're generated from your data, so files are never duplicated. You can still create ordinary folders — and even show one under every virtual folder, such as an Invoices folder inside each client's folder.
What happens when I edit a value?
The file moves at once to the folder that matches the new value.
Does it work for scanned paper?
The same way. Once a scan is read, its fields place it like any other file.
