The right access, down to the file.
Everyone already has a role. Soon, any table, folder or file can be restricted to the people or groups who need it — payroll for HR, a client's folder for their account manager.

Access by table, folder and file
- 1
Invite your team
Invite members by email as Admin or Member, and follow pending invitations.
- 2
Restrict what's sensitive
Set a table, a folder or a file to Restricted and choose who can view, edit, create or manage.
- 3
Use groups
Give access to a group — HR, Finance, a client team — instead of person by person.
What you get
Owners, admins and members today — and soon, access you can restrict per table, folder and file, for people or groups.
Five access levels
No access, view only, edit, edit and create, manage.
Records follow documents
Records extracted from a restricted document are only visible to those who can see the document.
Links redacted
A link to a record you can't see is redacted, not revealed.
One overview
See every rule at once, by person or by resource, in workspace settings.
Platform features work around the whole cycle: they secure, explain and set up every stage, from the moment a document arrives to the action it calls for.

Frequently asked questions
Can I hide one folder from part of the team?
That is what permissions will do: restrict the folder and choose who keeps access, and the files inside follow. Until then, keep sensitive files in a workspace of their own.
Can I share with people outside the workspace?
Access is given to workspace members and groups. There are no public share links.
Will dashboards and alerts respect permissions?
Yes. A dashboard widget on a restricted table will say so, and each alert email will only list rows its recipient may see.
