Calculations that follow the links.

Computed columns bring values across relations and turn them into totals, dates and flags — built from menus, not formulas, and recalculated as your data changes.

How it works

Lookups, rollups and rules, no formulas

  1. 1

    Look up

Show a value from a linked record, up to five links away: the supplier's IBAN on each invoice.

  2. 2

    Roll up

Count, sum, average, minimum or maximum across linked rows: the total invoiced per project.

  3. 3

    Transform and decide

Add days to a date, subtract two amounts, format text, or set a value with if-then-else rules.

What you get

Pull values across linked tables, total line items, compute dates and amounts, and apply if-then rules — with no formula language to learn.

All the aggregations you need

Count, count filled, count unique, sum, average, minimum, maximum and the share of checked boxes.

Date arithmetic

Due dates from issue dates, days left before a deadline, the start and end of a period.

Readable labels

Join fields into labels like “INV-2041 · Nordwind AG”.

Editable lookups

Override a looked-up value on one row, or write it back to its source.

Where it sits in the cycle

An invoice is linked to its supplier, its order and the payments that settle it; rollups add up what is linked. A workflow status then reads where each record stands — To Pay, Partially Paid, Settled — from the data, never typed by hand.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know formulas?

No. Every computed column is built by choosing columns and operations from menus.

Are computed values live?

Yes. They update when the data they depend on changes.

Can alerts watch a computed column?

Yes — for example, invoices whose total differs from their order's.
