Welcome to the Filetable blog and, for many of you, to Filetable itself. This is the first post, so it answers the three questions we hear most: what Filetable is, why you cannot sign up just yet, and when you can.
What Filetable is
Every business runs on documents that arrive as PDFs, scans, e-mails and bank files. The data inside them, such as an amount, a due date, a supplier or the order an invoice belongs to, rarely ends up where it is needed. Filetable receives, understands and connects your documents to the workflows that run your business.
- 1Receive
Upload, e-mail, scan or import. Every document lands in one place.
- 2Understand
Each one is read, classified, and its values extracted into typed fields.
- 3Organize
Files that file themselves, in folders and tables you design.
- 4Connect
Records link to each other: the invoice to its order, the payment to its invoice.
Every value keeps a link to the place it was read, so anyone can check it in one click. It is built and hosted in Switzerland, by a small team in Geneva.
Where we are: private testing
Right now, Filetable is invite-only. We are working closely with our first testers on their real documents, fixing what they find and shipping improvements every week. Keeping the door narrow for a few more days lets us give each of them our full attention.
- TodayPrivate testing
Invite-only. Testers use Filetable on their own documents, and we ship what they need.

Come back on 19 October
On Monday 19 October, sign-up opens. Creating a workspace takes a few minutes: upload a first batch of documents and watch it organize itself. A guided tour walks you through the first steps, and the free plan needs no credit card.
Stay posted
This blog is where we will share what ships, how to get the most out of it, and how it works underneath. Bookmark it, follow the RSS feed from the blog's front page, or simply come back on the 19th. In the meantime, you can explore the features and the use cases already.
Thank you for being here early. See you on 19 October.
